Years ago I had to go look at the trout at the Hackettstown Trout Hatchery. Opening day was in two weeks. I would go to the pellet machine and put in a coin and turn it and get a handful of pellets to feed the trout. Watching the trout attack the pellets was something else. I thought I could use the pellets as bait. One thing wrong, the pellets broke into tiny pieces and in no way could stay on your hook. I walked over to the breeder-size trout. I saw the 20-inch, 5-pound monsters. They attacked the pellets also.

I had to go to the store to get a few things for home. I don't remember why I went down the cat food isle but right on the front box was a picture of a kitten walking to its feeding bowl that was filled with this pellet-looking food. When I looked closer, they looked like the pellets that were at the hatchery. The reason I bought the box was it said liver flavor, same as the Hatchery pellets.
