May 07, 2023Degelman acquires Renn Mill Center
Saskatchewan-based agriculture equipment manufacturer Degelman Industries is expanding, as the company has announced the acquisition of Renn Mill Center.
With over 60 years of experience and based at Lacombe, Alta., Renn Mill Center designs and builds grain storage and grain processing equipment. The company's product lineup includes roller mills, hammer mills (grinders), bagger mills, grain baggers, grain bag unloaders, and haying equipment.
"This is a very exciting opportunity, and we look forward to welcoming RMC as a partner that aligns with our existing culture, as well as our future vision to further propel plans to grow the brand, and position for ongoing opportunities in both local communities and global markets we export to," says Degelman president Blair Flavel, in a news release.
The deal, which builds on a long-standing relationship between the two companies going back to 2008, will boost Degelman's employee base from over 400 to more than 500.
Doug Hilsabeck will remain Vice President of RMC and continue to work closely with Degelman. The companies also say RMC's management and employees will remain in place to serve dealers and customers.
"This makes both Degelman and RMC more diversified companies while continuing to flourish as innovators and leaders in the agricultural sector on a stand along basis," says Flavel.
Degelman started in Raymore, Saskatchewan in 1962, and has grown to include multiple production facilities building tillage equipment, harrows, land-rollers, rock-pickers, manure spreaders, and more.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
