An approaching system will bring clouds, cooler temperatures and a slight chance for late day showers to the region along with gusty winds in the Sierra.
An approaching system will bring clouds, cooler temperatures and a slight chance for late day showers to the region. Rain showers will be widely scattered and light, most Ironman competitors and those cheering them on will stay dry (expect for the swimming portion of the race, of course).
Gusty southwest winds are expected today in the Sierra with some gusts as high as 45 mph at lower elevations and up to 90 mph along the ridges.
Rain and mountain snow showers continue through the night and into tomorrow, but accumulations are expected to be very minimal.
Dry conditions are forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday with temperatures remaining cool.
A series of low pressure systems will bring rain chances Thursday, Friday, and Saturday... though none of them seem impressive at the moment. Stay tuned for updates.
